Enhance your skills

Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is offering places on seventeen programmes fully funded by Springboard+

The programmes are specifically designed to assist jobseekers to enhance their skills in areas where there is demand, from energy retrofit to medical device innovation, and from mobile applications to information technology for construction site workers.  Students can study part-time for one or two semesters at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

In addition to DIT programmes that have proven to be successful in previous years, a number of new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) options are offered for 2015/16. For example, construction professionals may wish to qualify in Airtightness testing, to quantify and certify the level of air loss in new or retrofitted buildings to meet regulatory requirements. There is also a course in external wall insulation, and an option for people with site work experience to acquaint themselves with the increasing level of IT technologies now used on site. For the hospitality sector, there is a new Level 6 qualification in Hotel and Restaurant supervision and a Level 8 degree in Hospitality Management.

Those with an undergraduate qualification already, or equivalent prior learning, will find lots of opportunities to add new skills - whether that's a Masters in Engineering, a PG Diploma in Energy Retrofit or a conversion course in Science in Computing.
