THE PUNTER'S PLATFORM: Peter Canavan previews Dublin v Tyrone plus betting on McGregor v Mayweather Newsdesk Newsdesk

Peter Canavan joins the Punter's Platform of Johnny Ward, Will Slattery, John Brennan, Niall Cronin and Ladbrokes' Dec Marron to preview the All Ireland football semi-finals, plus there's a look at the betting on McGregor v Mayweather.

An over-hyped mis-match or a fight to relish?  Whether you're a fan or not of the McGregor v Mayweather clash you still can't ignore it and the Punter's Platform speaks to MMA writer, Mark O'Toole, about the likely outcome of this fight.

He rates McGregor's chances of an upset like 'Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson' but perhaps the smart bet is Mayweather to win on points.

Peter Canavan previews the All Ireland football semi-finals and says Mayo left behind it them last week.  For Dublin v Tyrone, he says get on the 22-1 bet of a draw at half-time and Tyrone to win at full-time.

"Dublin v Tyrone has the potential to be the game of the Championship," he says. "Tyrone have moved on in a number of ways since last year and it's going to go down to the wire. It won’t be high scoring with the premium on defences but Tyrone have the firing power and the bench to trouble Dublin in the closing stages."

Plus, there's a look a the York Ebor Festival and their Bets of the Week in soccer, horse racing and GAA.
