A teenage rugby player has recalled how he was tripped by a 'touchline dad' just as he was about to score a try, describing the man as "a naughty schoolboy".

Winger Harry Bayford was bearing down on the line in the Hertfordshire Shield cup final in England when the father stuck out a leg to stop him scoring his third try of the game.

The man is believed to have been a father of an opposing player who lost his temper as his son's team were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat.

The referee sent the spectator off from the side of the pitch following the incident.
