TEMPLEOGUE’S Lorcan Murphy scored the largest final tally for any Irishman (33) to secure his own and his side’s third Basketball National Cup crown.

The 25-year-old reached 28 points by half-time to give his side the winning momentum in their 78-68 triumph over Éanna. Meanwhile, joint-captain Rebecca Nagle’s 12 points helped end a 15-year wait for Killester to secure women’s cup glory in their impressive 82-59 victory over Brunell.
