12 March: Jack Wilshere has sustained an ankle injury that will keep him sidelined for the next three weeks, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed this morning. The 21-year-old has endured an unfortunate run with injuries in recent times, missing the whole of last season with niggling ankle and knee problems.

10 March: Rafael Benítez accused Sir Alex Ferguson of snubbing his attempt to shake hands before a 2-2 draw that the Chelsea manager said United were lucky not to lose. Inspired by the second-half introduction of Eden Hazard and Jon Obi Mikel Chelsea rallied from going two goals down in the opening 11 minutes, and were only denied a winner when David de Gea saved from Juan Mata in injury time.
10 March: Liverpool completed their first defeat of a top four side all season after beating Spurs to leapfrog Everton in the table. Steven Gerrard scored the winner for Brendan Rodgers' side in 82nd minute
10 March: Rory McIlroy re-established his reputation as the pop star of his sport with a virtuoso final-round 65 at the Cadillac Championship. The round left Rory on 10-under for the tournament and a share of eighth place.
10 March: A dejected Kildare manager Kieran McGeeney after his side's 13-point defeat at the hands of Dublin. The game finished Dublin 2-20 Kildare 2-7.
10 March: Kerry's Michael Geaney can't hide the disappointment after his side's defeat to Donegal in Ballybofey. The Kingdom are now sitting without a point from four games in the league.
10 March: Rafa Nadal made a successful return to Indian Wells with a 7-6 6-2 victory over Ryan Harrison in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open.

08 March: Manchester City's Carlos Tevez has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified, police sources confirmed. The Argentinian striker, who was banned from driving for six months on January 16, was arrested yesterday near his home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
07 March: Graeme McDowell watches his tee shot on the fifth hole during the first round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship at the Trump Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida. McDowell made the most of fabulous scoring conditions by landing six birdies in a faultless first-round 66.
07 March: Luis Suarez's exceptional season has catapulted him to the highest tier of earners at Liverpool thanks to the club's policy of incentivised contracts. The Uruguayan doubled his salary to around £80,000 a week when he signed his last deal in 2012, but significant performance-related enhancements have now taken him to around £120,000.
