Zambia's final joy tinged with sadness
Zambia's qualification for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations has been tinged with sadness as well as joy.
Having played the early part of the tournament in Equatorial Guinea, their shock semi-final victory over Ghana saw Zambia return to Libreville in Gabon -- the location for tomorrow's final against Ivory Coast -- for the first time since the country's worst sporting tragedy almost two decades ago.
Manager Herve Renard has pledged to honour the footballers who died in a plane crash there 19 years ago that saw the nation's greatest team cruelly wiped out.
"We are there,'' Renard said ahead of the final. "Now the best thing to honour their memories is to win the final and to make all the country happy."
