Yaya Toure's agent invites Barcelona interest with claim Manchester City midfielder is seeking new challenges
YAYA Toure could quit Manchester City this summer to seek new challenges having done "all he can do" with Robert Mancini's side, according to his agent.
Toure played a pivotal role as City's ended 44 years of hurt by winning the Premier League title, but Dimitri Seluk has opened the door to offers from Europe's biggest clubs for one of City's prize assets.
"Toure has done all he can do at City and needs new motivations," Seluk told Spanish radio. "He would like a new challenge. He would not cost much.
"He could sign for many big clubs, like Chelsea or Bayern Munich. We would like to see Barcelona join the race."
While Toure has not indicated that he wishes to leave, his agent's comments could be used to press City into offering the midfielder a new bumper contract.
Toure had in fact claimed after Sunday's last-gasp win over QPR which saw them pip rivals Manchester United to the title that he wanted to help turn City into a world force.
He said: "That’s why I came here, to help the team, give my experience to the young guys and to help the club go forward and make it bigger than any club in the world.
"But now, we are at a good step. To make history, we have to win something and follow the example of what we did last year."
The Ivory Coast international has three years left to run on his current deal and is said to be on £260,000 a week.
