Watch: French press officer says questions for Antoine Griezmann must be 'en français' to halt transfer talk but it backfired

A quick-thinking Spanish reporter drew the ire of a French press officer as he attempted to question Antoine Griezmann on rumours linking him with a move away from Atletico Madrid.

A former Manchester United target, the 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer and refused to confirm if he will move clubs this summer or remain at the Wanda Metropolitano.

"Today is not the day to talk about my future," he said. "Yes, I have already made a decision about my future. But I'm not going to speak about it today.

"It's not the time or the place."

A French press officer said that the forward would only be answering questioned asked in French to try and stave off questions from Spanish media representatives but one reporter cheekily asked Griezmann a question via a translation app on his phone.
