Watch: Should Chris Forrester have been sent off for this challenge on Cesc Fabregas?
Before today's match against Chelsea, Peterborough's Chris Forrester said that there would be no holding back against the Premier League leaders at Stamford Bridge.
"We won't be scared of them," the 24-year-old Dubliner told Miguel Delaney in today's Sunday Independent. "There's no point in going and trying to defend for 90 minutes, losing 1-0 or whatever. We've only lost one game in 13, so we'll go in hopeful we can get a good result. I think you've just got to go and express yourself."
The Dubliner made an impressive start to the match but was at the centre of a controversial incident also when he went in hard on Cesc Fabregas. Forrester received a yellow card for his troubles but he was lucky not to get his marching orders.
Either way, the former St Pat's midfielder showcased his exciting talent to leave viewers praising his performance.
Lucky boy Forrester. Definite red. #chepet— Henry Joseph (@HenryJosephJohn) January 8, 2017
Strong forrester challenge, yellow card, not pretty #pufc— Alan Swann (@PTAlanSwann) January 8, 2017
Going on from that - baffling how Forrester doesn't get a call up for Republic Of Ireland. How does he not even make initial squads?— Tom Hutchings (@imtomhutch) January 8, 2017
Forrester has looked more than competent at this level. #FACupOnFOX— Jonjo (@Jonjoaspas) January 8, 2017
Its mad that Chris Forrester is a holding midfielder now. The lad has so much flair.— -__- (@krn_brk) January 8, 2017
