Linfield goalkeeper Roy Carroll declined to shake the hands of Cliftonville FC players ahead of their Irish league match at Solitude on Saturday.

The former Manchester United and Northern Ireland goalkeeper walked past the Cliftonville team during the line-up at the start of the game.

The rest of the Linfield team took part in the traditional handshake between the teams.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with Linfield captain Jamie Mulgrew handed a straight red card for a studs-up challenge on the Reds' Jay Donnelly.

Joe Gormley opened the scoring, heading in Donnelly's cross on 72, but Linfield levelled through Michael O'Connor in the 86th minute.
