As the son of one of the greatest footballers ever to grace the game, Enzo Zidane might have felt just a little pressure when he came on for his Real Madrid debut on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old was brought on by his father Zinedine, the Real Madrid coach, at half-time in the Copa del Rey clash against Cultural Leonesa at the Bernebeu.

And Enzo needed just 18 minutes to make his mark, firing a crisp shot – his first of the match - from the edge of the penalty area into the bottom corner as Real Madrid strolled to a 6-1 home win.

Norwegian teenager Martin Odergaard also made his full debut for the Spaniards, but Enzo was the name on everyone’s lips at full-time.

The youngster had to wait a while for his debut – making almost 50 appearances for Real’s reserve team – but he made sure the moment was worth the wait.

He has big shoes to fill; Zinedine played 227 matches for Real Madrid, winning domestic six trophies and famously scoring their winning goal in the 2002 Champions League final.

He also won the World Cup with France in 1998 and the European Championship two years later. He replaced Rafael Benitez as Real Madrid manager in January.
