Usain Bolt took great delight at Arsenal’s failure to claim a home victory last night over his beloved Man United and was quick to let fellow runner Mo Farah know his feelings.
The Jamaican is a huge United fan and has met the squad on a number of occasions in recent years.
Given the form of David Moyes’ side this season and the fact that a top-four position is now looking a tall order, Arsenal were favourites to get their title challenge back on track last night at the Emirates, but the game petered out for a dull, goalless draw.
While the result leaves United’s Champions League hopes hanging by a thread, the Olympic sprinter was quick to point out to his fellow Olympic hero Farah, and another high-profile Gunners supporter in Piers Morgan, that for all of the trials and tribulations at Old Trafford, Arsene Wenger has failed to get the better of the reigning Premier League champions this season.
Morgan was short and concise in his replying, simply stating '7th', before later adding 'Legend, your lot can't beat an egg at the moment'.
Londoner Farah for his part didn't take the bait.
