Transfer Talk: Man United set sights on €100m French international and Leicester star
Manchester United are battling it out with three other clubs as they pursue a sensational deal to bring former player Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford.
Last year Juventus reportedly told Barcelona that they would only listen to offers of €100m for the French international, while United, City and Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the gifted midfielder.
The 22-year-old, who left United in 2012, has been linked with a move back to England in recent months and speaking to Sky Sports, Guillem Balague believes the Red Devils have the financial muscle to make the move a reality.
‘Interestingly, Pogba seems to be vying for a move to Barcelona but they don’t have the money that Manchester City, United or Real Madrid are prepared to put on the table,’ said the Catalan.
‘For that reason it’s difficult to say anything definitive, except for the fact those four clubs are interested.’
Meanwhile Manchester Evening News say United are understood to be keen Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez and are plotting summer move
The 24-year-old has scored 15 goals in the Premier League for the Foxes this season, is one of the favourites to be named PFA Player of the Season.
It’s believed Arsenal and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the Algeria international.
