Serie A side Juventus are weighing up a move for Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao in the event of the Colombian's time at Old Trafford coming to an end in May.

The striker, who missed the World Cup through injury, struggled to make an early impact in Manchester due to further injuries but has found the net twice in the last four games to get his United career up and running.

Those goals earned away points at Aston Villa and Stoke City. Prior to the header at Villa Park, Falcao had managed just one previous goal in eight appearances.

Michael Carrick hailed the qualities of the frontman after the equaliser against Villa and hoped it would be the start of big things in the red jersey.

"He's scored so many goals over the years and you feel when he gets the chance he'll score," he said.

"After being out for a bit that's him back and hopefully he can go on a bit of a streak now."

However it appears the Red Devils will face competition from Juventus for the player's signature, and it is believed the United board still have reservations over the fitness of the Monaco star.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Juventus are monitoring the situation closely and could add to their ranks another player with United links. Patrice Evra, Carlos Tevez and Paul Pogba are former Red Devils currently with the Turin club.
