Rodriguez moves to Bayern
Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez on a two-year loan deal, with an option to buy.
The move looks set to bring to an end Rodriguez's three-year stay in the Spanish capital, having transferred to Real from Monaco for around €80m in a deal that made him the fourth-most expensive player in history at the time.
The Colombian's performances at the 2014 World Cup finals earned him his move to Real Madrid. He was the top scorer in Brazil and was also named in the team of the tournament after leading Colombia to the quarter-finals.
Manchester United and Chelsea had both been linked with a move for Rodriguez this summer, but a deal did not materialise from either.
Arsenal will be hoping that Bayern's decision to sign Rodriquez will spell the end to their pursuit of Alexis Sanchez.
Rodriguez, who failed to win a regular place with Real, is Bayern's fourth recruit of the summer, following Serge Gnabry, Corentin Tolisso and Kingsley Coman to Bavaria.
