PSG winger Lucas Moura has insisted he is content in Paris, despite rumours that he could be tempted away by the prospect of playing at Anfield next season.

Speaking to Foot Mercato, the Brazilian international said: "I have always said that I want to stay, I want to write my history here. If the club want to keep me, I stay."

In news likely to disappoint many among the Liverpool faithful, it is understood that Germany midfielder Mario Gotze will not be moving to Anfield next season.

According to The Liverpool Echo, manager Jurgen Klopp is now happy with his attacking options, having secured the services of Sadio Mane from Southampton.

With Liverpool out of the running, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham are now left to compete for the Bayern playmaker's signature.

Gotze may not now be moving to Anfield, but one German who might is Julian Draxler.

According to The Liverpool Echo, Klopp is preparing a move for the young midfielder.

The Wolfsburg playmaker was a mainstay in Germany's Euro 2016 side, and has been on the radar of Europe's top clubs for a number of seasons.

If clubs do want to secure his signature, however, they must be prepared to spend in excess of £52 million.

Nevertheless, Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs recently admitted Draxler would one day move on to a bigger club.

"It is clear that Wolfsburg is not the end of his dreams – neither was Schalke," Allofs told Sport Bild. "There are clubs like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona or one or other club from England."

And finally, Liverpool have invited Josue Mauricio Quinonez to train with the club.

According to his current side, Independiente Valle, the 16 year-old has flown to Germany to train with the Liverpool U18s ahead of their pre-season tour.

It is widely expected that the promising centre-back will be awarded a professional deal with The Reds before the beginning of the season.
