Highly-rated Ireland midfielder Conor Hourihane to undergo medical at Aston Villa - reports
In-form Barnsley midfielder Conor Hourihane will undergo a medical at Aston Villa, according to reports.
Villa boss Steve Bruce is an admirer of the Corkman - who has racked up five goals and 11 assists in 24 games so far this season - after working together at Sunderland in 2009/10.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Barnsley have accepted a bid of £1million and Hourihane will undergo a medical as early as today.
Sheffield Wednesday are also keen on the 25-year-old but Villa, who are also expected to tie up a deal for Nottingham Forest's Henri Lansbury, look to have won the race.
