Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Monaco's Tiemoue Bakayoko for £35 million, which could prompt Nemanja Matic to leave for Manchester United.

The Daily Mail reports that even though Matic was a key man in Antonio Conte's midfield last season, the Italian would be willing to listen to offers if Bakayoko joins.

And it seems 28-year-old Matic is keen on a switch to Old Trafford to join forces with his former boss, Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese has prioritised four signings this summer with Victor Lindelof already joining from Benfica for £30 million.

Matic could become United's second arrival with Alvaro Morata and Ivan Perisic also linked with moves to United.

Diego Costa is apparently ready to play hardball with Chelsea and refuse to leave until he gets his dream move back to Atletico Madrid.

Atletico's transfer ban won't be lifted until January with AC Milan and Juventus both keen on taking the Brazilian-born Spain striker to Serie A.

According to The Daily Star though, Costa does not want to uproot his family to Italy and it is now looking increasingly likely that he will stay at Stamford Bridge for the first half of next season.

Costa has also been heavily linked with a big-money switch to China, but last month he ruled out moving to the Far East.

Manchester City are eager to complete a double swoop for right-backs Dani Alves and Kyle Walker over the next few days.

But while the Brazilian is in talks with Juventus over a mutual termination of his contract that would allow him to move to England, Walker looks likely to stay put as Tottenham stand firm on their £50 million valuation, says The Independent.

Jose Reina could be reunited with his former manager at Liverpool, Rafael Benitez, as Newcastle consider an approach for the Spanish goalkeeper.

The Northern Echo reports that the Magpies are watching contract extension talks between Reina and his current club Napoli with keen interest.

The Liverpool Echo writes that Everton are willing to listen for offers for Oumar Niasse, who was successful during a loan spell with Hull but who looks to be persona non grata at Goodison Park.

Adnan Januzaj's time in the Premier League may be at an end as Manchester United prepare to sell him to La Liga club Real Sociedad for £9.7 million.

The Belgian winger was on loan at Sunderland last season and France Football claims United boss Mourinho will let him leave Old Trafford.

And finally, The Daily Mail believes Swansea City will sign Tammy Abraham on a season-long loan from Chelsea this week after beating Newcastle in the race to land the striker.
