Manchester City have completed the £60million signing of Portugal right-back, Joao Cancelo, from Juventus. Cancelo, 25, has signed a six-year contract with the Premier League champions until June 2025.

The move sees the Brazil right-back, Danilo, leave in the opposite direction to Juventus in a £34.2m deal. Danilo has signed a five-year deal with the Turin giants.

Cancelo's arrival takes City's outlay on full-backs to £194m in two years. He becomes the club's third summer signing after Spain midfielder Rodri and left-back Angelino and takes their gross spending to over £128m.

"City are a fantastic club, with a brilliant manager (Pep Guardiola)," said Cancelo, who will wear the No 27 shirt. "Everything about them has impressed me, from the facilities, to their style of play. I am always looking to develop my game and win trophies and I believe I can do that here."

Leroy Sane's potential move to Bayern Munich is under threat amid concerns about the extent of a knee injury that he suffered against Liverpool in the Community Shield on Sunday and the German club's shock at City's £138million) valuation. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
