They have tried before and they are going to give it another go - Chelsea have made another approach for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to Calciomercato.

The Premier League champions were heavily linked with the Frenchman during the summer, but failed in their efforts to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

The Italian press are reporting that Guus Hiddink's side are back in for the midfielder though and have made him their priority target for next summer.

It is likely to be a time of major transition at Chelsea with a number of players being linked with an exit from the club.

One of those they will not want to lose is Thibaut Courtois, who is reportedly keen on a move to Real Madrid, says Ok Diario.

Apparently the Belgian's representatives have contacted Madrid, although the Spanish giants are set on focusing their efforts on signing Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, following a failed effort to land him last summer.

Courtois was often linked with Real Madrid during his time at their city rivals Atletico.

Another player linked with a departure from Stamford Bridge is right-back Branislav Ivanovic, who is wanted by AC Milan.

The Serbian has not been at his best for Chelsea this season and Gazzetta dello Sport are suggesting that a deal could be likely as he comes towards the end of his contract.

A move to the slower paced Serie A could well suit the 31-year-old as he comes towards the end of his career.

Italy is not the place for Kurt Zouma, apparently, with Lazio now looking elsewhere after originally targeting the Chelsea centre-back.

The Serie A club were expected to make a bid for Zouma during the January transfer window.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport claim they have all but given up their attempts to sign him and moved on with their search.
