Asier Illarramendi will finally complete his move from Real Madrid to Liverpool, with the move now 'inevitable', according to reports in Spain.
The Metro claims that Real are willing to sell the midfielder, who has been kept out of the first team by the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
Admittedly, this transfer is football's equivalent of Groundhog Day, with seemingly each morning bringing fresh confirmation that the deal will go through.
But trust us (or Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo who are carrying the story on this occasion) that this time it really will happen. Definitely.
And if not, same place, same time tomorrow?
In other seemingly never-ending transfer sagas, Liverpool are still pursuing Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev.
According to The Metro, Brendan Rodgers has demanded that his board sign the player, who is deemed far from good enough for Real, so should fit right in at Liverpool.
Arsenal are also apparently keen on the 24-year-old but reports in Spain say Liverpool are the frontrunners to complete a deal worth around £14.2million.
One player who Liverpool look set to miss out on is Inter Milan winger Mateo Kovacic.
The Mail reports that the Reds have been gazumped by Real Madrid, who are stumping up around £25m to sign the midfielder.
Earlier in the summer Liverpool had a £17.7m bid rejected, but who knows maybe this signing will increase their chances of getting the aforementioned Cheryshev. We can but dream.
