Arsenal transfer news: 'Gunners to offer Santi Cazorla and cash to land Arda Turan'
Arsenal will part with Santi Cazorla and cash to sign Atletico Madrid's Arda Turan, according to the Metro.
Cazorla has two years left to run on his current deal at the Emirates, but Arsene Wenger is ready to use the midfielder in part exchange for the Turkish international.
That could interest the Spanish giants who have been interested in Cazorla over the past year. It is thought Atletico see Cazorla as the ideal replacement for Turan who has been linked with a host of top European clubs this summer.
Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is also said to be keen to land the midfielder.
Turan scored three goals in 46 appearances in all competitions for Atletico last season.
Reports in Spain claim Arsenal are ready to pay the £17.8m Real Madrid are demanding for striker Karim Benzema.
The Frenchman is said to be one of Wenger's top forward targets this summer having scored 22 goals last season.
Benzema, who has also been linked with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool, is said to be open to a move away from the Benabeu and is interested in a switch to the Premier League.
Arsenal are ready to make their move with a £17.8m bid which is thought to be enough to tempt Madrid into selling.
Another forward who has caught Arsenal's eye is Barcelona striker Munir El Haddadi.
According to reports, the north London club have made an initial enquiry about the Barca youngster.
Munir forced his way into Enrique's plans with a strong start to the season when Luis Suarez was suspended.
Chelsea are also keen on the winger, but Spanish paper Marca has revealed that Arsenal have actually made a formal approach for him.
Barca are thought to be reluctant to let the player leave - including even a loan deal and have already rejected one bid from Ajax.
But Munir faces lengthy spells on the sidelines again next season with Suarez, Lionel Messi, Neymar and another Arsenal target Pedro all ahead of him in the pecking order and could be keen to move elsewhere for regular first-team football.
Finally, Lukas Podolski has left Arsenal to join Turkish champions Galatasaray.
The 30-year-old German international has signed a three-year contract with the Istanbul giants in a deal thought to be worth around £1.8m.
The move brings to an end a disappointing three-year association with Arsenal where he failed to become a regular under Wenger.
