Star trio Chris Fagan, Killian Brennan and Conan Byrne available for St Pats in Riga
St Pat's Christy Fagan celebrates after scoring his side's third goal last night
ST PATRICK'S Athletic boss Liam Buckley admits he has a welcome selection headache ahead of tomorrow's Europa League battle with Skonto Riga in Latvia.
The Saints, taking part in Europe for the fifth season in a row, got their travel out of the way early and arrived in Riga, via London, on Tuesday and the squad will train at the 10,000 capacity Skonto Stadium this evening.
Buckley has had to deal with a number of injury woes of late but he expects the trio of Chris Fagan, Killian Brennan and Conan Byrne, who all missed last week's league win over Longford Town, to prove their fitness ahead of tomorrow's game (5pm, Irish time).
"Killian, Conan and Christy are all available. We just rested them up last weekend, we didn't want to take a risk on them," Buckley told Independent.ie today.
"It's great to have them fit, now I just have to make a decision on what the team will be. Conan's injury was a hamstring and he was out for four weeks, but as much as I want to have him in the team, I have to make sure I don't undermine his fitness if he tweaks it again."
Buckley's scout, former Saints player Dave Campbell, has been in the Latvian capital for the last few days and delivered a detailed report to the Inchicore club's boss having watched Skonto play out a 1-1 draw in the domestic league last weekend.
Around 100 Saints fans are expected in Riga ahead of tomorrow's kick-off, a city which has happy memories for them as Pats earned their first-ever European away win in Riga in 2008.
