Sergio Aguero has insisted that his client will stay at Manchester City this summer, much to the disappointment of French side Paris Saint-Germain.
The Argentinean striker has been subject to speculation for months after Pep Guardiola picked Brazilian youngster Gabriel Jesus ahead of him following his January arrival.
And this summer there have been rumours that PSG will attempt to kick-start their summer spending spree by making an offer for the 29-year-old, who has scored 169 goals in 253 appearances for during his six year spell in Manchester.
But Hernan Reguera has insisted that the striker is going nowhere.
“There is no doubt and fear. Sergio will remain at Manchester City, for sure,” he said in an interview with the Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb this weekend.
“There have never been any offers, they have never presented him with the chance to leave City. As I said, he is happy and will remain.”
And despite admitting that Aguero and City have not yet entered into negotiations over a new contract, Reguera defended his client’s relationship with manager Guardiola.
“No, we haven’t spoken about [a new contract] for the moment, and we’re fine with that,” he added.
“He has two more years left on his contract and the guy is happy, as are the club. No news for now, we’ll go on like this.
“The relationship between Aguero and the boss is great. Next season? He strives for the maximum. He wants to help the team win both the Premier League and Champions League.”
