Ryan Giggs is expected to accept the No 2 position at Manchester United having been offered the role following talks with Louis van Gaal.

Last night the interim United manager was photographed leaving a hotel in Noordwijk, close to where Van Gaal has his main home.

Giggs got on a flight to Manchester yesterday evening to watch United lose the Under-21 Premier League final 2-1 to Chelsea.

It is expected that Giggs will be formally announced as United's No 2 as soon as Van Gaal is unveiled, which will take place some time tomorrow.

The 62 year-old will return to the Dutch training camp he is holding in Hoenderloo later today following yesterday's day off.
