Roy's run-ins

Keane hits out at Ipswich fans for their criticism of certain players. "I've no problem with opinions. But a lot of them have no idea what they're talking about in terms of football. A lot of people are too set in their ways. Instead of moaning and groaning about systems and tactics they should get behind the players, particularly the younger boys."

After further catcalls in the clash with Barnsley, Keane again has a go at fans. "There has to be a balance between what's right and what's wrong, and what happened last weekend was wrong, I don't care what anyone says. I don't care if you've been a supporter of this club for 50 years. They didn't support the team last week. How can they support the team by booing? The atmosphere was wrong. I think it might be a benefit the next week or two that we are away from home, where we don't have to listen to any nonsense."

Following the 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, Keane engages in a row with some supporters behind the dugout. After a poor run of results, the local newspaper steps up the campaign for the Corkman to be dismissed.
