Dubliner Danny Rogers has hooked up with Kilmarnock after a long spell with SPL rivals Aberdeen and could make his debut in the season opener against Hibs on Saturday.

"I'm delighted to join Killie and as soon as the opportunity came up, I knew it was where I wanted to be," the goalkeeper said.

Meanwhile, Celtic coach Darren O'Dea admits Irish prospect Luca Connell will have to bide his time before working his way into the first team.

"Some of these players might not play in the first team again this season so this could be their one chance, but he certainly took his," O'Dea said after Hoops' 3-1 win over Hibs on Monday.
