Real Madrid’s match winner at the weekend was doing his bit off the pitch after getting involved with charity work in the Spanish capital.

Portuguese defender Pepe grabbed the only goal of the game in Madrid’s victory over Espanyol at the weekend and yesterday he was in the thick of charity work in Las Rozas in the capital.

According to Marca, Pepe donated money to help the area's most deprived families with children and then decided to lend a helping hand with his fellow volunteers.

Pepe handed out packages of basic foodstuffs with 5,000 kilos of food was handed out thanks to the money donated by the Madrid player, with each family receiving two boxes with more than 20 food products.
