Preston fan “will sell a kidney” for a ticket to FA Cup tie against Manchester United
Michael Jackson - a lifelong North End fan who has lived in Johannesburg – for 25 years, once spent all his pocket money attending games as a youth, but has somewhat upped the stakes, according to the Lancashire Evening Post:
"I’d sell a kidney to get a ticket. Someone suggested I should ride a giraffe, I’d do whatever it takes. I’d even swim from Cape Town to the River Ribble. It is on TV but I want to be there in person cheering on the Lilywhites. But it is impossible to get a ticket," he said.
With the game almost certain to be a 23,000 sell-out at Deepdale – and Jackson isn’t registered on the Preston ticket database – his chances currently seem slim.
