Rio Ferdinand lived through 90 minutes of misery as he watched Manchester United lose their showdown with Manchester City on Saturday.

The former United defender was tweeting throughout the match and his desperation was evident from these messages as City edged towards a 2-1 win. This was his reaction to City’s opening goal from Kevin De Bruyne:

He couldn’t resist poking fun at uncertain City keeper Claudio Bravo.

Yet this video highlights his agony like nothing else, as Ferdinand brought a smile out of his fellow TV pundit Richard Dunne with his excited reaction.
