Watch: Patrice Evra posts tribute to Paul Pogba after return

It has not been the best of months for Patrice Evra, but it appears his social media catchphrase 'I love this game' is still relevant if his latest Instagram post is any guide.

Evra was sacked by Marseille and handed a lengthy ban by UEFA after he leapt into the crowd to kick a fan abusing him, with the veteran defender now facing an uncertain future in the game after his fall from grace.

Now he has confirmed that his passion for the beautiful game is still burning brightly after offering up this video for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, who returned to action after a two months spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury by scoring and claiming man-of-the-match honours in his side's 4-1 win against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Evra certainly seemed to enjoy his performance and didn't hold back in this tribute as he cheerfully saluted United's £89m midfielder in a clip posted to his 3.3 million followers:
