
Jose Mourinho has side-stepped a question on whether he will take over from Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.
Mourinho has been strongly linked with a move to United in recent weeks, with pressure mounting on the club's current manager Louis van Gaal.
A report in the Sunday World last weekend revealed that Old Trafford board members are split on whether they should hire Mourinho for next season, but it was a stoney faced Mourinho who refused to be drawn as he gave his backing to FIFA Presidential candidate Gianni Infantino at Wembley.
Manchester City's confirmation that Pep Guardiola will take over as their new manager next summer has put extra pressure on United to recruit a proven winner to their managerial hot-seat.

With options running out, Mourinho appears to be their most likely candidate if they decide to part with Van Gaal a year before his contract expires in the summer of 2017.
