The German has been one of the Premier League's standout players so far this season, assisting 13 goals - double the next best assist-maker in England's top flight.

Yet, despite the World Cup winner's credentials and form, ex-Manchester United manager David Moyes is apparently still not impressed.

Speaking on Sky Sports before Arsenal's game with Aston Villa, Moyes gave a less than glowing assessment on the German's season so far.

"I think the jury's still out on Mesut Ozil," said Moyes.

Ozil is the top creator in Europe's top five leagues with 63 chances created; eight ahead of the next best in Europe.

Predictably Mesut Ozil registered another Premier League assist, teeing up Aaron Ramsey to make it 2-0 to Arsenal, and Gooners could not wait to rub it in David Moyes' face.

David Moyes has ruled himself out of taking over at managerless Swansea City, but has insisted he is ready for a return to management.

"I'm really enjoying having a bit of time off just now," he told Sky Sports.

"If the right job came up and it excited me then I'd be interested in it. I've been very fortunate, I've been offered some clubs and to go and take jobs but at the moment I've chosen to take a wee bit of time.
