Spurs unveil new jerseys as their gold strip gets a very polarising response
Tottenham have unveiled all five of their remodelled kits for the new Premier League season, with their choice of front man coming as something of a surprise.
Even though Harry Kane has been a shining star for Spurs as he has led their scoring statistics over the last two seasons, his fellow England team-mate Dele Alli is perched at the front as he is promoted as the new star man in the Tottenham ranks.
The all gold kit has been greeted with an indifferent reaction on social media, with Kane sporting that outfit in the image, while France's Euro 2016 hero Hugo Lloris is bedecked in his all-blue goalkeeper jersey.
The jersey worn by Kane provoked strong opinion on Twitter, with some saying they love the gold colour - although many others branded it as a gaudy mess.
This upcoming season looks certain to be momentous for Tottenham on and off the field, with their Champions League group stage matches being played before huge crowds at Wembley Stadium, while their White Hart Lane home prepares to be redeveloped.
Spurs will still play their home Premier League games at their historic home for one more season, before a one-year stay at Wembley for all their matches next season.
