Martinez hails Latics

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez hailed the "complete performance" from his side as they ended a five-game run without a victory by beating Wolves at Molineux.

Second-half goals from Ireland's James McCarthy and Charles N'Zogbia earned victory for the Latics, who had a first-half penalty from Hugo Rodallega saved by Wolves 'keeper Marcus Hahnemann.

"Coming away from home, we knew that Wolves were going to start very brightly and we coped with that really well," Martinez said. "On top of that we looked very dangerous on the break.

"The biggest positive of our performance was that we looked really solid and looked worthy of a clean sheet. It was a very important win and it was a complete performance."
