Mancini risks wrath of FA
Roberto Mancini could find himself in hot water with the English FA after the City manager claimed that referees were "prejudiced" against his team.
City have the worst disciplinary record in the Premier League, with 45 yellow cards and four red cards this season, and received an automatic £25,000 fine from the FA for five bookings during the 3-1 win away to Newcastle United on Sunday.
But Mancini has risked a potential charge of improper conduct from the governing body by suggesting City are being unfairly singled out by referees.
"At least two of those cautions (at Newcastle) were excessive," Mancini said.
"I have the impression that referees are prejudiced, to say the least, with City -- and I do not understand why.
"We do not play the hard game. Every time we try to play good football. But instead (we get all these bookings). But maybe at Newcastle the ref (Chris Foy) let the environment get the better of him."
