Louis van Gaal has been in England for a little while now and we’ve all been waiting to see him treat journalists with his legendary contempt. So far, despite a dismal start to the season for Manchester United in which they’ve failed to win a game, he’s just about managed to keep his cool.

You could be forgiven for assuming he might be in great spirits with the arrival of some excellent players during the transfer window but that renowned tetchiness is never far from the surface.

His delivery of the words, “Louis, Louis” in the video at the top of the page is a thing of wonder, as is his mock dramatic exit. And the grin and thumbs up when the man asking the questions finally complies with his wishes? The icing on an already delicious cake of utter disdain.
