Paul Pogba drops Antoine Griezmann to Man United transfer hint during Europa League celebrations
Manchester United are hopeful of securing a deal for Antoine Griezmann this summer and Paul Pogba may have just dropped a hint on social media the forward is on his way to Old Trafford.
Pogba teased United fans about the prospect of Griezmann moving to Manchester during a live Instagram video celebrating the club’s triumph in the Europa League final.
The French international copied Griezmann’s famous Hotline Bling celebration in an Instagram video he posted with the caption: “Next season.”
It’s unclear if the midfielder was referring to teaming up with his France international team-mate at United next season or the club qualifying for the Champions League.
His post was ‘liked’ by Atletico Madrid star Griezmann who has told media he is ‘ready’ to move away from the Vicente Calderón this summer.
In another Instagram Live video, the world-record signing told fans: “Griezmann is not here… yet!”
Speaking this week at a book launch for his autobiography, Griezmann said: “If I have to move, it’s not a problem. It can be England, because it’s the trend, Germany, China or USA. I’m ready to go.
“I want to win titles. I’ve reached a point where playing nice football and scoring goals isn’t enough anymore. That’s it. Winning titles is what I’m looking for this summer, when deciding my future.”
He said there was a “six out of 10” chance of him moving to Old Trafford.
Pogba opened the scoring for Jose Mourinho’s side in their 2-0 Europa League final victory over Ajax to secure Champions League football for the club next season.
