Latest tweet from Paul Pogba's agent is far from encouraging for Manchester United
He might stand to gain more than €20m from Paul Pogba’s proposed move from Juventus to Manchester United, but agent Mino Raiola has dismissed speculation that a deal is close to being done.
Raiola has already brokered the arrivals of Zlatan Ibrahimović and Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Old Trafford this summer, and is now at the epicentre of negotiations as the clubs seek to arrive at a favourable outcome for all parties.
United chief executive Ed Woodward is in Turin while the club is touring China.
Apparently, an impasse has been reached, not based on Pogba’s fee, which would be in excess of €100m, but on who should foot the bill for Raiola.
The Italian-Dutch agent took to Twitter earlier and his post will not be encouraging for those United fans hoping to see Pogba return to the club he left four years ago for free.
Incidentally, the one time waiter has been known to leverage the media when hoping to expedite a deal, while it is his first tweet in six weeks.
