Here we go again...Real Madrid believed to be preparing yet another move to sign David De Gea
Manchester United are braced for a fresh bid from Real Madrid for David De Gea, but remain determined to hang on to their goalkeeper.
United insiders have claimed that Real Madrid have renewed their efforts to sign De Gea in recent days, with a fee in the region of £50m being mentioned as a possible opening bid from the reigning European champions.
De Gea looked certain to leave United as manager Jose Mourinho left his first choice keeper out of his team in the final month of last season, including the Europe League final win against Ajax in Stockholm.
Yet the frosty relations between United and Real Madrid was never likely to help negotiations, with the Spanish giants bemused by what they described as false claims they had a bid for De Gea rejected in the days before their Champions League final win against Juventus.
Bernabeu chiefs made it clear that they had given up their efforts to De Gea last month, as they put their faith in first choice keeper Keylor Navas last month, but these latest reports suggests this transfer story is not yet over.
De Gea came close to joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2015 when he completed a medical with the Bernabeu giants, only for the transfer documentation to miss the deadline for verification.
De Gea and United are currently training in America ahead of their first tour game against LA Galaxy on July 15th.
