Henrikh Mkhitaryan leaves Manchester United fans in no doubt where he sees his future
Manchester United outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan has taken to social media to suggest his future is very much at Old Trafford.
The £26million summer signing has played just 104 minutes of football since he arrived from Borussia Dortmund where he was voted as the Bundesliga player of the season last year.
United fans have been left bewildered as to why the Armenian star has not seen more action on the pitch with Jose Mourinho this week confessing that the 27-year-old is struggling to cope with life in the Premier League.
Mkhitaryan posted a picture of Old Trafford on his Instagram account today with the words: "Better days will come for us! We march on. One for all and all for one! #mufc."
Mkhitaryan has been over his physical problems for some time only to find his manager unwilling to throw him into the fray.
"Some players, with their profile, they are adapted to come and play, some others they need more time," said Mourinho. during the week.
"Time to feel the intensity and the aggression, the game without the ball, the competitiveness.
"Many times players come from different countries. The style of football is different and the reality is different for sure in terms of competitiveness. There's no other country where it doesn't matter the team you play against, you have to play at the highest level. If you don't you have no chance. Mikhi needs time to become the top player he can be."
Mkhitaryan has not been involved with Mourinho's first team since the start of September when he lasted just 45 minutes of a dispiriting derby loss at home to City.
