Griezmann tweets fuel rumours of a mega money move to Manchester United
Theo Griezmann has added to the rumours that his brother Antoine will be joining Manchester United next summer after a series of cryptic tweets.
Griezmann tweeted an image of United's Old Trafford stadium and followed it up with a message that suggested he was a United fan, though he deleted the second of those tweets soon after.
United are believed to have opened talks over a mega-money deal to sign Atletico Madrid striker Griezmann, with a fee that may be close to the world record £89m United paid to sign Paul Pogba last summer rumoured to be under discussion.
Now Theo's tweets bolster belief that his brother will be wearing the United No.7 shirt next season, with a deal that has been rumoured to be in the making for several months now appearing to be edging closer.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has hinted that his lead striker will be allowed to leave the club next summer, with Chelsea also linked with a move for Griezmann in recent days.
"I don't tie anybody down. I simply work in order to continue getting better for the good of the club," said Simeone last week.
"He (Griezmann) is in an extraordinary moment, he is working well, he has got back on the scoresheet. He is currently in great form and it's normal that the top clubs in the world want him.
"I'm not surprised that those that can afford him are seeking him."
