After all these years, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger have found agreement on one subject
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger have rarely been in agreement during their bitter and enduring rivalry, but they were quick to hail goalkeeper David De Gea after his performance in United’s 3-1 win at Emirates Stadium.
De Gea produced another sensational display to keep out a succession of Arsenal efforts, with Mourinho quick to acclaim his Spanish after his latest wondershow.
“I told him after the match, what I saw today was the best from a goalkeeper in the world,” stated Mourinho.
“You need the keeper to be there for you when the team needs. Was it the best performance I have seen from a keeper? I don’t know, but it was a fantastic performance from De Gea.”
Arsenal boss Wenger suggested the primary reason why his side ended up losing a game in which they created so many chances was the United keeper, as he offered up this tribute to the Spaniard.
“It was a mystery not to score more, but David de Gea was man of the match by a clear mile,” said Wenger. “He produced an exceptional performance and is clearly a big reason for this result.

"We played well but there is nothing more frustrating when you have that quality of performance and nothing to show for it at the end. The attitude was impeccable until the end. But you cannot make the mistakes we made at the beginning."
