We're at that stage of the season again - PFA voting forms go out, players' performances are assessed and best XIs are discussed and debated.

Telegraph Sport columnist Ryan Giggs has chosen his XI of the season to far - and here's who he has picked.

David De Gea

He is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League, and although Courtois and Lloris have kept more clean sheets, I would still take De Gea on his ability to pull off the game-changing save.

Antonio Valencia

He is having his best ever season at Old Trafford at right-back. I have always rated Antonio as a top player but he looks better than ever now and dominates that right side.

David Luiz

Has made a great return to Chelsea. He has hardly put a foot wrong and ideal for passing the ball out of the centre of a three-man defence. A major part of what makes Chelsea tick.

Toby Alderweireld

He is the best centre-back in the league when it comes to defending alone. Spurs have conceded fewer goals than any other team in the league.

Danny Rose

Currently injured but has shown all the qualities of a top left-back. Comparable to Patrice Evra in his ability to get forward and back down the left side.

N’Golo Kante

He would have my vote for player of the year. A close one between him and Hazard in second place. But I just think Kante has been outstanding for so long that he deserves it.

Chelsea's N'Golo Kante has been a big hit with the Blues

Mousa Dembele

I have always rated him highly but this season he has gone to another level. His fitness is much better and he finishes the 90 minutes.

Adam Lallana

Another one currently injured but he has been a major part of what makes Liverpool’s system work. High energy and great quality when he is on the ball.

Dele Alli

A young player who more often than not makes the right decisions. Runs in behind defences without the ball, and as a result scores a lot of goals.

Dele Alli has been in excellent form for Tottenham this season

Eden Hazard

He is the best attacking player in the league ahead of Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez. Has the ability to turn a game on his own.

Harry Kane

Also currently injured but a prolific goalscorer for Spurs. Gets in ahead of Romelu Lukaku on his work-rate. Always prepared to give more for the team.
