Man United make contact with Torino over star Italian striker as Mourinho puts transfer plans in motion
Man United have made contact with Serie A club Torino over signing their striker Andrea Belotti, according to reports.
The 23-year-old Italian is enjoying a breakout season, having netted 25 league goals in just 29 games. ESPN's Mark Ogden is reporting that Man United officials have registered the club's interest with Torino, with Jose Mourinho looking to add two forwards to his squad this summer.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic likely to depart Old Trafford this summer following a serious knee injury last month, it is likely that Mourinho will look to help Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford by adding to his attacking options.
Belotti and Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann are thought to be the Red Devils' main targets, with today's news indicating that Man United are keen to lay the groundwork now for their summer moves.
Belotti made his international debut last year, and has scored three goals in seven games for Italy.
