Man United lost ground on the race for fourth spot this afternoon while denting Leicester's title hopes after a 1-1 draw in Old Trafford.

Despite failing to win, it was a reasonably promising performance from United, especially in the opening stages as Anthony Martial swept the home side in front. Marouane Fellaini also gave a good account of himself, regularly causing discomfort in the Leicester defence with his imposing frame.

However, the Belgian reacted robustly to one challenge in particular, and appeared to retaliate with his elbow. Louis van Gaal was asked about the incident after the game, and the United manager - who maintained before the game that he would return to the Old Trafford dugout next season - compared Fellaini's treatment to a strange sexual fetish.

"When I grab your hair now you will react also," van Gaal said to the interviewer.

"Because it's not in the books that somebody has to grab with the hair. And then pull it behind. Only in sex masochism. Then it is allowed."
