Liverpool goal scoring great John Aldridge believes Sunday's clash against Burnley at Anfield is a must win game for Jurgen Klopp's men as they chase a top four finish in the Premier League.

Liverpool lost 2-0 to Burnley in the reverse fixture back in August and have struggled against sides in the bottom half of the Premier League table in the months since.

Now they need to banish those demons and collect three points against Sean Dyche's Clarets, with their hopes of a top four finish on the line with just 11 games left to play this season.

"Liverpool face a massive test of their hopes of securing a top four finish in the Premier League when they play Burnley at Anfield this afternoon," says Aldo.

"We will discover very quickly whether Jurgen Klopp’s team have started to address their biggest problem,

"Memories of the defeat at Burnley back in August will be fresh in the mind for Klopp and his players today, with that game highlighting a problem area that has undermined Liverpool’s efforts in the months since.

"They dominated possession at Turf Moor, had all the opportunity to create the chance to win the game with ease and ended up suffering a costly defeat.

"Sadly, it was a sign of things to come and Klopp needs to get his team winning games like this in much more clinical fashion.

"If Liverpool want to have any ambition to finish in the top four this season, they need to win games like this today and need to answer the questions hovering around them now.

"I fancy Liverpool to get the job done as most of their problems against this kind of opposition have come in away games, but the stakes could not be higher for Klopp’s side on a day when they simply have to get the win."
