Liverpool linked with a move for a highly rated French midfielder
Geoffrey Kondogbia is the latest midfielder to be linked with a switch to Anfield this summer.
With Steven Gerrard set to depart for the MLS and Brendan Rodgers keen to strengthen his midfield resources, Monaco's Kondogbia is the lastest name touted around.
The France international has impressed Liverpool's scouts this season where he came to the attention of fans in England when he scored against Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 contest.
Having joined Monaco from Sevilla in 2013, he took time to settle into Ligue One but has since impressed with a number of solid performances.
Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Leeds full-back Sam Byram and are lining up an £8m move for him at the end of the season.
With Glen Johnson's deal due to expire in the summer, Liverpool are in the market for a full-back and the Star says a deal is close to being completed for Byram.
It is thought Liverpool have beaten off competition from Sunderland for the England U20s star.
