Oh how Liverpool fans would have loved if Philippe Coutinho could have scored just one of last night's goals in the Europa League final instead.
The Brazilian attacker was anonymous as Liverpool squandered a half-time lead to lose the European decider 3-1 to Sevilla, with the 24-year-old finishing an otherwise solid season on a disappointing note after an empty display.
Liverpool fans are eager to see what Jurgen Klopp does with his squad in his first summer transfer window, but if Coutinho plays next season in the manner he did in last night's Copa America clash, the Reds could take a big leap forward without having to bolster their attacking midfield options.
Granted, Brazil were playing minnows Haiti, but Coutinho still scored a tidy hat-trick that included two trademark screamers from outside the box.
The diminutive Brazilian has a habit of either bursting the net or putting the ball on the roof of the stadium when he releases a drive, but last night he found his range to devastating effect.
With so little transfer window action happening at the moment, many Liverpool fans latched onto Coutinho's brilliance as evidence that the Reds should be even more potent next season.
Wow, what a goal from Coutinho for his hat-trick! Brilliant trademark Coutinho finish!
