Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini is considering Martin Skrtel as a possible addition to his defence this summer, with the Liverpool man stalling over a new deal.
The Anfield club inexplicably waited until last week to offer the Slovakian an extension, but with the defender entering the final 12 months of his contract, the Reds 'no longer hold all the aces', reports The Mirror.
Mancini is willing to take advantage of the stand-off after being priced out of a move for Dynamo Kiev's Aleksandar Dragovic.
And finally, Liverpool have moved one step closer to completing a transfer deal for Barcelona defender Martin Montoya after reportedly making a £7.3 million bid for his services.
Montoya is believed to have agreed personal terms ahead of a summer move to Anfield, which would leave his transfer fee as the only remaining obstacle, suggests The Metro.
